As an undergraduate researcher, I participated in a project that examined the MDMX autoinhibition by p53 intramolecular mimicry. After graduation, I worked in the Toxoplasma and Malaria research lab where I studied cell cycle regulation and parasite-host interaction. I was always fascinated by neurodegenerative research and thus, joined Dr. Thinakaran’s lab where I am working on a project that investigates BIN1 function. I am excited to expand my knowledge of neurodegenerative diseases and acquire new techniques used in neuroscience research.
