My Bachelor’s work focused on the study of marine mammals. This career path took me from Weddell seals in Antarctica to Leatherback sea turtles in Trinidad and Tobago. My Master’s work centered on the impact of international culture on the adoption and implementation of cloud computing. Most of my professional career has focused on the blending of biological research and technology. These activities included the role of Research Data Administrator for the State of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, a division of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, integrating data produced by a broad spectrum of biological disciplines and laboratories. In addition to my degrees, I hold SCRUM Master (CSM), Product Owner (CSPO) certifications from the SCRUM Alliance. As the Research Data and Systems Analysis Manager in the Thinakaran’s lab, I provide operations/maintenance support for software and hardware, perform image librarian/data steward tasks, and develop data management solutions.
