Thinakaran Lab - Cell Biology of Alzheimer's Disease

I am currently a freshman majoring in Biomedical Sciences and minoring in French in the 7-year BS/MD Program at USF. I’ve been interested in neuroscience and medicine from a young age. When I was in high school, I further developed my interest in neuroscience by participating in the National Brain Bee and doing a literature review on the effects of cholinesterase inhibitors for AD treatment for my IB-DP Extended Essay. As a physician, I aspire to go into neurology or neurosurgery. I joined the Thinakaran Lab hoping to broaden my knowledge on AD pathogenesis and continue to learn about the field of neuroscience.
